Smith|dr. hirsch's book is now 30 years old. he sort of even writes with the style of karl menninger, the famous psychiatrist and his mentor. it is an excellent book that reveals some of the adjustments required of one who developed multiple sclerosis in the 60s and 70s. he offers tremendous insights and, for the time, very practical "suggestions".
